Based in Saint John, New Brunswick, Port City Steno provides English court reporting services that take full advantage of today's technology.  We are the only court reporter in the province with real-time availability so you can see right away if your desired time slot is available.  With convenient online bookings and transcript order forms, it’s easier than ever to book a recording or order a transcript.

We use special audio equipment to record all types of proceedings:  discoveries, hearings, conferences, arbitration, etc.  Attendance and travel time is billed at an hourly rate with no charge for mileage in southern New Brunswick (Saint John, Moncton and Fredericton).  Mileage may be charged outside this area; please contact us for details.

We also offer remote court reporting services through video conference or teleconference.  We will join any meeting hosted by you through invitation and record on our equipment as usual.  Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype or telephone are preferred but if you use another software, please contact us to discuss.  We would ask that the lawyer hosting discovery also hold a test call with all parties prior to the discovery date (including clients if they will be at a different location than counsel) so we can evaluate connections and audio.  We will participate free of charge to ensure we can provide a quality transcript when requested.


We require notice of cancellation 24 hours in advance.  If your request is not received by this deadline, a minimum of three hours will be charged.  This fee may be waived at our discretion.


All invoices will be sent electronically with payment due upon receipt.  If your recording includes undertakings, they will be enclosed with the invoice at no extra charge.



We specialize in legal and medical transcription but can transcribe any audio file.  We charge per page and will provide an electronic copy upon completion.  Paper copies may be requested at no extra charge. 



We will format, edit or proofread any type of document.  This is normally billed per hour but can vary depending on the job.  Please contact us for a quote.

Lindsay Theriault grew up in rural Nova Scotia just outside the town of Digby.  She later attended St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick where she earned her BA in English in 2006.


Lindsay moved to Saint John in 2008 where she acquired her Executive Office Administration diploma from New Brunswick Community College in 2013.  Since then, she has held various administrative roles in law, human resources and finance.  In 2019, she obtained the court stenographer designation from the Minister of Justice in New Brunswick.
